Return to the Outside World

Denali

I’m a mean kitty.

I was glad to see my grandma leaving today. She went to work, which meant I got a handful of cat treats as she was walking out the door to her truck. This also meant that I got to stay outside and play for a while too. Mommy just brought me inside though ’cause she has to get ready for work.

Mommy confuses me, she doesn’t really like her job, but she goes anyway. It sounds like some are friends and she says it “pays good”. But she doesn’t like it, I can tell. She drags her feet when leaving and is always so happy to be home in the evenings.

So today, when mommy came outside to bring me in, I took her to my favorite spot:

This is my meditation spot. The sunlight falls through the trees just right. Plus there is beautiful green grass and comfy green clovers to lay in. :luv: I tried to get mommy to sit there with me and meditate, but instead she decided to play with me and pet me. That’s okay too, because I’m her Maneki Neko, so she gots lots of good luck from me, I know it.

It looks kind of funny outside though, the grass is still green, except in some patches here and there, but the pecan trees have already lost all of their leaves. So there are dead leaves on green grass. The elm trees are still green and leafy thankfully though, so I have lots of fun places to climb and hide in still. :)

That is a beautiful place to sit and meditate. I so should have been a cat.
