Favorite Food: Elegant Medleys

Isis

Mommy went grocery shopping the other day, we were very low on kitty kibble and human foodstuffs. I thought mommy would end up just buying a bag of dry cat food, since money is tight, but she also stocked up on canned cat food too!

In our house, canned cat food is treated like treats. We get to eat it on special occasions, when we’re really good, or mom just wants to give us a treat. In the past couple of years though I’ve gotten to eat canned cat food a little bit more regularly, which is something Denali positively hates. The reason is simple though, I have a very sensitive system and mommy likes to make sure I eat my greens so that I’m not getting sick all over the place.

It’s for this reason that Elegant Medleys, from the creators of Fancy Feast, are my favorite dishes. They come in a wide variety of flavors, all of which boast greens with a large number also having healthy grains and tidbits in them as well. Because of this, I get the vitamins, nutrients, and greens that I need. Sure, I like to munch on the sweet grass mom has planted in planters for me, but I can only eat so much of that. And because they have so many flavors I never get tired or worn out with them like I do other brands! :)

All of the flavors are “restaurant inspired” and taste as good as any food my humans could cook up. They have Tuscanny, primavera, souffle, Florentine, and shredded recipes. In the picture above you can see one of my favorite dishes, the Wild Salmon Florentine. Mom didn’t get too many of my favorite dishes this time, I think she was going more for variety this time. But that’s okay, because they’re all delicious.

So the next time your humans go out shopping make sure you get them to stop at the canned cat food and aisle and make them get you a couple of these. You won’t regret it, I promise! In fact, I’ve yet to meet a kitty who doesn’t like these. If you get a chance to help your human decide which flavors to try, I strongly recommend:

  • White Meat Chicken and Cheddar Cheese Souffle with Garden Greens
  • Wild Salmon and Egg Souffle with Garden Greens
  • White Meat Chicken and Egg Souffle with Garden Greens
  • White Meat Chicken Primavera in a Classic Sauce with Garden Veggies and Greens
  • Wild Salmon Florentine in a Delicate Sauce with Garden Greens
  • Yellowfin Tuna Florentine in a Delicate Sauce with Garden Greens

Those really are some awesome tasting dishes. Too bad Isis is stingy and never likes to share those ones with me.

I agree with the number one recommendation on Isis’ list – White Meat Chicken and Cheddar Cheese Souffle with Garden Greens. Tis yummy-nummy!

But really, all of their tuscanny ones are the best flavors.

That’s not true! While their Tuscany dishes are good, their best are definately the Souffle. Now those are just mouth watering.

And Denali, stay away from my food! You have your own brand that mommy buys just for you – by your insistence no less!

Wow those sure look gourmet hehe. Yay for good kitty food. I wonder why my cat won’t eat wet food when it’s so much tastier than dry.
