It’s Cold! Solution: Take a Nap

The heating went out sometime yesterday and now the house is unbearbaly cold!! I hate the cold because I always get so sick.
I woke mommy up earlier because I just wasn’t warm enough in my kitty bed, and Denali foolishly decided to go play outside in the wind. I had to do a little bit of digging, but I managed to tunnel under the cocoon of blankets mommy had wrapped around her and snuggled under the blankets with her. It was so nice laying there, then mommy got up to start getting ready for work. She’s as silly as Denali. On days like this the only thing to do is to stay home in a nice warm bed and sleep the day away.
Today I thought I’d share with you some of my best places to take a nap. I’m hoping this makes me feel warmer than I really am since both of my walking heaters are AWOL.

That’s a picture of me sleeping in my kitty bed. It’s shaped like a burrow and I love it. When I’m in there I have it all to myself, the small opening makes it easy to defend from Denali. Although I am more than willing to share the other kitty bed with her, just not this one, it’s mine.

That’s me after I’ve managed to make a nest out of the blankets on grandma’s bed. I like stealing her bed, although she isn’t quite as nice about it as mommy. Grandma has no qualms about picking me and putting me in my bad so that she can have hers. Generally I wait until she’s comfortable and not likely to want to get up, then I jump on her bed and make myself comfortable.

That’s a picture of me buried under all of the blankets on mommy’s bed. Her room is the coldest in the house, basically because one wall is made up almost entirely of a window. So in the winter she always has a ton of blankets on her bed, sometimes she’ll even spread the sleeping bag on top if it’s really cold. Which she had to do last night because of the broken heater.

This is one of my portable heaters. Her name is Denali, she’s very warm and very fluffy. So sleeping on top of her is always nice. Sometimes though she gets very dirty so I have to clean her before I can take a nap. This can be very troublesome sometimes.

Isis, I completely agree with you. Cuddling with something warm and napping all day is the best way to get through a cold day. Humans need to hibernate I think.
