Refused: Return to Sender

Isis

I was so excited earlier. Mommy came in from the mailbox, and after sorting through the stack of letters, she held up a postcard and said “Girls, you got mail”. The postcard didn’t seem too suspicious at first glance. It had a picture of a doggy on a dog house and a little girl playing with a kitty. Then I noticed it said “love: is a regular health check”. Cute card, right? Denali and I thought so…at first.

Then mommy flipped it over so we could read what was written on the back:

Dear Ms. Rodriguez,

This is an important reminder about your pets. According to our records, they are due for the following treatments or examinations. Please call ###-#### for an appointment.

Denali – Feline Leukemia Annual Vacc
Isis – Feline Leukemia Annual Vacc

It’s a card from Dr. Calista letting mommy know it’s time for our shots again! As soon as Denali saw that she ran and hasn’t been seen since. Denali doesn’t seem to realize that she can’t stay hidden forever. Besides, it’s not like we’re going today. Silly.

This is one letter I wish to send back though. I don’t want shots mommy, I’m perfectly healthy I tell you!

Aww, poor kitties needing their shots. It’s ok though, it’s not so bad.

I have never seen such a nice card that reminds shot day…I think your Dr. is very nice person!
