It was really, really hot today. Denali gets to go outside and spend the day outdoors a lot more often than I do. I swear, just because I get stuck in trees – occasionally – Mommy becomes ubber protective of me. Okay sure, I fell off the roof once, but that’s no reason to insist I only go outside under supervision and usually on a leash!

So despite the fact that it was hot out, I demanded to go outside anyway. There was no way I was loosing my chance to be outside on a day that it’s sunny and not windy.

Since it was so hot out I stayed in the shade on some comfy greens that made my nap spot soft and cool. I didn’t do much playing, just some lazing about and enjoying the sun, but I did have fun. Mommy didn’t think my “fun” was very nice though. Shizuku was in the spot I wanted to lay down at, so I chased him off. A little bit of exercise and a lot of fun for me.

For a dog, Shizuku’s alright. He treats me like royalty and generally gives into my demands. Not to mention, if I so much as look at him wrong he runs away.

I still don’t like it when Mommy says he’s my “little brother” though. He may be younger than me, by several years I might add, but he’s not my brother. He’s more like a friend (not that I’ll ever tell him that) than a brother. *shudders*
