Mom seems to have a lot to do today ’cause she got a very early start. First she was up and dressed and got us fed. Then Mom changed before she gathered up her laundry and took it to the car before she got something to eat too. Then me and Mom went for a walk. It’s nice going for walks with Mom. Just the two of us, ’cause Isis is lazy, and when she’s with me I’m allowed to go places and wander further than I’m allowed on my own. Mom can be very lazy so I worry about her. I know have funny ways of staying healthy, but the best diet pills and fanciest exercise toys in the world pale to the wonders of the Outdoors World.

Mom and I went walking along the canal. It’s fun ’cause there’s always a lot of interesting scents there. Not to mention I can find all kinds of critters to hunt too! I found a snake there once, Mom called it a Moccasin, and she got very, very upset with me for trying to catch it. She says he was a baaad snake. So I try to avoid those now. I do like finding frogs, birds, gophers, and lizards though. And once I even managed to catch a fish on my own too! The water was ugly and murky today though. No fish neither.

I did find an interesting looking beetle though. He had a very hard shell so it was fun to bat him around. He was like a ball! He made a really loud crunch too when I ate him. Mom looked startled when she heard the sound. I was surprised by the sound too. But he tasted yummy. Other than that I didn’t find anything good to eat.

When we got back Mom went and got a shower. I swear, humans are so weird. They can do all these nifty things, but they can’t even bathe right! Sadly, Mom is now rounding up the towels and loading those into her car too. I think she’s gonna be gone for a while today. I wish I could go with her. I don’t wanna be stuck all day in the house with Isis. She’s been really grouchy these past few days.
