Mommy’s Mysterious and Suspicious Behavior

Mommy hasn’t exactly been in a bad mood lately, but it’s been far from joyous. That much I can tell you. But just a little while ago she got a phone call and she was acting very strange. At first she had her suspicious-sounding “do I know you?” voice that she uses when she doesn’t recognize the phone number. Then it cleared up to her normal conversation voice. Nothing strange there.
Then she started saying “thank you” a lot and she looked very surprised and kinda scared. Big wide eyes on Mommy and shaking hands. But when she hung up she was smiling and laughing and she can’t seem to stop yet. It’s all very suspicious.

I tried to check up on her, but she just patted me on the head, gave me a hug, then set me back on the ground and turned back to her computer. She still has that big grin on her face too. It reminds me of the grin Denali gets when she’s gotten into something she shouldn’t. It also kinda reminds me of her expression when she gets new toys she really wants. Like the time she got her laptop or all those car accessories for Christmas. But even though I know she wanted these things called hid lights for her car, I know she’s not buying anything like that now. Not after that bang-up.
So what is going on?! I want to be happy for Mommy, but this is all so very suspicious! I will be investigating this matter thoroughly, I assure you. I will find the root of Mommy’s suspicious and mysterious behavior!
I am also offering a large reward of cat nip to anyone with any information that may lead to a breakthrough or discovery. Please contact me if you hear anything!

Hmmm. You definitely need to keep a sharp eye on her. It sounds not only suspicious but … well, has she been taking any meds lately? Just asking. We’re taking a snooping course from Harley over at Daisy’s. And asking questions is part of our training.
