Walking Along the Canal

Isis

My humans took me for a walk along the canal bank earlier this evening, just after the sun had set. It was nice up until I was made to realize how high the water was!

See, I heard something go “splishy splashy” and got kind of curious. But, unlike Denali, I’m a smart kitty and didn’t get near the water. Grandma thought I was being a scaredy-kitty though and picked me and carried me to the canal’s bank so that I could investigate the noise.

It was a little scary, but there were lots of interesting buggies crawling around and there were things moving in the water and they weren’t fish! I just had to investigate further.

Grandma got a little too close for comfort though. Back human, back I say! I know what the doggies like swimming but I sure as hell don’t. I swear she was giving me evil looks – I thought she was going to toss me straight in! If she had though she’d have been real sorry. Hah! I’d get my revenge, she’d better not even think about it without getting some term life insurance online quotes. Yup, yup. Her days would be numbered!

I got tired of watching the dark (and deep, very deep) waters though. It was making me queasy.

there are a lot of bugs in water like that, so it’s cute that you got to go for a trip and observe them
