I didn’t mean to takes an unannounced absence for so long, but Mom kinda was the one who had the say-so and she had a lot of problems with the blogs.

Around Christmas time the databases for her blog and mine got funky and were doing this weird thing that left a bunch of gibberish code in place of any content we tried to publish. But! If you logged in and edited the post the stuff was there and looked okay.

Mom couldn’t fix it, and since we had relatives staying over, she really didn’t have time for it so she took the blogs down in the mean time.

Mom forgots to take into consideration the fact that she was working full time (training) at her new job too. And long story short, lots of things kept interferring and making Mom put off working on the blogs. She explains it all here in this post.

Then of course she gets her blog up and running first and makes sure everything is fine and dandy before putting mine up. Meanie-head.

So now, the old posts I made I gots to rewrite them, some comments are gone too sadly. And I have so much to share with everyone and cant waits to do it!

And did you and your humans watch the Super Bowl? The Packers beat the Steelers!! Mom and I are happy about that at least. Still upset with the Cowboys though, but at least the Steelers lost.

Yeah, that would be because Mom (ONCE AGAIN) forgot to renew the domain name. She did this last year too. Silly human. So Kitty-kitty.net was gone for a bit – but it’s back now!

And hopefully Mom can REMEMBER to renew the domain name on time next year so we don’t have a repeat.

Mom has used Vistaprint to order address labels, a mouse pad, and business cards for herself. Mommy decided to get herself a new tote bag and she used the logo she had made for the blog (’cause Mom’s advertised us a few times with fellow furry-bloggers ’round here!) and the logo has both a picture of me and my sister. Here’s a shrunk down version of the logo:

Now, when Mom goes out somewhere she’ll have both me and my sister with her. Isn’t that awesome? The tote bag should arrive in a week or so. When it does I’ll be sure to take pictures and post here!

It looks like Mom is gonna have a long night though so maybe she can work on it some more tonight.

Why is she gonna have a long night, you ask? Good question.

One of the rude and silly doggies from down the street chased a skunk -some people call them “country kittens” but they are not related to us kitties in any way- onto our properties and it left the smelly stuff here before the doggy killed it and made even more of the smelly stuff. And it happened right outside of Mom’s OPEN window in the sleeping room.

I didn’t actually think humans could naturally turn such a funny shade of green actually. My Mom is talented human. I might have even found it funny if I wasn’t trying make my nose stop working. Really, it’s a bad night to have a sensitive sniffer here. I’m not touching my food, even though I still had some yummy canned food left over to eat, because I think my tummy will reject it. Is this how humans who take those funny things (i.e.: phentermine?) that I always get emails about and see on t.v. to loose weight feel like? All sick and wanting to eat but knowing it’ll come back up? If so, then I feels bad for ‘em.

Anyway, Mom went around and closed all windows right away, but the damage was done. The neighbors actually were outside trying to get their doggy to leave the skunk alone (I think the skunk got their house too which is why they’re awake) but that dumb doggy isn’t listening. From what I could see from the kitchen window, the doggy eventually caught the skunk and disappeared into the cotton field. The humans decided not to continue the chase.

No one is gonna wanna be petting that doggy anytime soon. In fact, I figures he’s in deeeeeeep trouble with his humans. I means, he wokes them up and they chased him trying to get him to leave the skunk alone. Oh yeah, they not happy. Of course, Mom’s not happy either and the doggy better hope Mom don’t catch ‘em any time soon in the upcoming days. My Mom is an animal lover but….well, she has her limits and I think he hit them all tonight. Silly doggy.

Now I’m in the t.v. room watching late night long-commercials while Mom lights every scented candle she has and sets up the smelly sticks and smelly-liquid stuff she burns in dishes in. She’s doing this in Every. Single. Room. And she’s already taken very long shower and it smells like she used every smelly wash stuff she has.

All these scents, they’re making me sicks.

So I’ve been acting a little…bratty in the hopes she gets the hint that I need more time to play and frolic outside.

I may have even done a few naughty things thinking she’d say “I’ve had enough” and put me outside to get some time to herself. It didn’t work.

So I’ve been trying to tell Mom that not allowing me my adventures means I have nothing to blog about. Guilt trip right?

Well, then we gots hit by a small thunderstorm and because our electric company sucks the electricity went out. There was lots of thunder, which is always scary to me, but then the electricity flashed on and off really fast for like ten minutes straight then popped off. Mom had the laptop plugged in at the time and the next day she couldn’t dial onto the ‘net no more even though the phone lines were working.

Mom says that there was an electrical surge and it blew the laptop’s modem. Now, if it were a desktop she could replace it cheaper and easier….but not on a laptop. So Mom had to wait till payday, transfer the money to her checking account, and then go and buy an “USB external modem” so we could connect to the internet at home again.

Now Mom and I can get the internet at home again. She was lucky though, she could drive into town and use one of those free internet places humans call “hot spots” to get online. Me? This poor kitty was without internet for furrever!!! So cruel!

Mom had to shell out over $50 for the thing though. And it was pouring rain today, but we couldn’t wait any longer – over a week was much, much too much for us. So off Mom went. The rain cleared up though while Mom was in town and her car got a lot of papers on it’s windshield by the time she came out. Yup, looks like one of those fliers and brochures printing agencies in town had a lot of business lately. Lots of brightly colored papers advertising deals and there were coupons! Including one for Wienerschnitzel. So Mom stopped there on the way back and picked up some hot dogs and their yummy chili fries.

So now I gots to eat some of her hot dog and I got to go online again. Things are looking up.

Now if only I can convince her to lets me outside more once again. More on that laters though!

See, someone *cough*Isis*cough* made a mess of the living room by knocking over a bookcase and all the stuffs that was on it. It was a small black metal one and Isis managed to tip it over when she jumped onto it trying to get to the treats she found there.

We were just lucky that there is a nice comfy chair there in fronts of it, otherwise we’d have been in bigger trouble. When the bookcase tilted over, the figurines and snow globes mostly fell on the chair and didn’t break. One statue did fall to the floor, but it’s metal on a wood base and probably did more damage to the floor then the floor did to it.

When Mom came home and found the mess, and the opened bag of treats that Isis got into, she was very upset. No treats for a week, no walks, no outside, and we got baths. We also kept getting removed from rooms with lots of shelves and stuff to knock down and kept separated to “keep us out of mischief”, Mom said.

I didn’t do it this time though and was very upset to be punished alongside Isis. Mom didn’t believe me though, and I will admit to helping myself to the treats when they were already on the floors and opened. But I didn’t make the mess! And they were such yummy treats too. They were healthy kitty treats Mom got from the vet’s office that tasted and smelled sooo good. Better then the nip! And came in a white plastic bag with really big funny human words on it. I’m so glad Mom gave them a try! At first she was gonna pass ‘em up cause the information was on one of those folded papers you finds in the waiting room and she’d picked that up a while ago and forgots about it. She found it again mixed in with those folded papers for things like prenatal vitamin (Mom will never need these!), diabetes (human sickness I hope Mom don’t get), and other medical stuffs I don’t understand.

Mom is bad about picking up things to read and then forgetting to throw them away. Mom almost didn’t get the treats for us ’cause they were very, very expensive. I think that’s why she was so upset with us, they didn’t last us very long at all… That’s okay though, I think those Feline Greenies cat treats tasted justs as good and are cheaper too.

I hopes Mom isn’t upsets anymore though. I spent the week curling up in Mom’s lap whenever I could, I tries to show her how cute I was and completely innocent.

See, that’s my innocent face. It’s marred by brutally mauled whiskers that those mini-humans did to me, but it still works on Mom!

Hehe, Isis has nothing on me. I gots the computer first and got kitty treats this morning. Isis didn’t want to get up from her bed so she never realized what she missed out on.

I’m so smart. Score is now: Isis 270, Denali 120.

Eh, I’m catching up to my sistah.

Yeah, Mom picked up the fixed laptop last night and has been busy working on it to restore settings, re-install the programs we miss, and loading up the recovered files.

It’s so nice to have the computer back.

Mom agrees of course, she was going into internets-withdraw. She’ll never admit it though.

She plans on taking it to PC Fix because the guys there will get it fixed fast (usually the same day) and they’ve got really cheap prices too. A lot of people around here turn their noses up at ‘em because the store isn’t fancy (in fact it’s easy to miss) and they don’t have a really spiffy interior and high-tech POS systems at the counter. It kinda looks like someone is working out of a garage or something on the inside. But they do great work there and are the cheapest in town so Mommy is a loyal customer to them.

PC Fix isn’t open on the weekends, and since tomorrow is a holiday and PC Fix is a locally owned business, Mommy isn’t too sure they’ll be open. I’m not really sure what all is wrong, Mommy explained though on her blog. She has some colorful language though that might make your ears red. Poor Mommy.

So Denali and I might not be able to post until Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. Hopefully that’s not the case though.

Mom only made a few buttons right now, but she promised to make us some more tomorrow. Hehe, right now all of the buttons only feature me. Not that that’s a bad thing. Just that the only pictures Mom had on her flash drive of us that she liked and wanted to use for link buttons was of me. Mom cleared some space on her hard drive so most of the pictures are “burned” on discs. She’s gotta look through ‘em and find the ones she wants to use.

Turns out Mom forgot to renew our domain for us.

So when a human named Angel brought it to Mom’s attention (finally!) Mom got it renewed. But then it took forever to come back up.

How could Mom forgets such an important thing? I dunno. Isis thinks Mom was busy looking for a job (any kind of job) and was too being with her entry level job search. I thinks that’s bull. I thinks she just doesn’t love us that much anymore.
