Right now they don’t know what’s wrong. They’re running tests so Mommy has to wait for them to call her. What they did tell her wasn’t too good.

There is liquid in Isis’ lungs which was why she was having trouble breathing. She’s what the humans call dehydrated too so they have her on IV fluids and she’s in an oxygen tank to help with her breathing. They’re taking x-rays and doing other test-stuff and hope to have somethings to tell us soon.

My big sister is a lot older then me, she turns 15 human years this year in fact. The vet warns that right now it could be a lot of things, like heart problems, kidney failure, or something. I don’t think it is, I mean, it can’t be, right? Isis has always been pretty healthy and tough. So she’s gonna be okay right?

Mommy is really worried. Not only is Isis sick-sick and in need of help, but Mommy is worried over the bill. She put some down but doesn’t know how she’ll pay the rest of it as she’d just finished paying bills so what bit she has is gone. Lot’s of worries for Mommy and me right now.

I’ll keep everyone updated as more news comes available. Thank you so much to all our furriends out there who are purring and praying for Isis. Your thoughts and wishes means a lots to us right now.

But now, an old furriend has come to visit us! Mom isn’t happy though, she actually said she would have been happy if he hadn’t of found us. You see, when we were living with the Old Man and Grandma there were lots of stray doggies and kitties that visited us because some mean humans like to think that the canal is the perfect place to dump teh pets they don’t wants no more. We hadn’t had many strays though, but there was one mancat whose coloring is close to mine that stayed near us all the time. Sometimes Mom would mistake him for me when she would come home in the evening. At least until he ran from her.

The Old Man likes to put kitty food in the bed of his old truck for me to eat when we were there or when we visit so thats I can eat outside but not worry about doggies. Well, Mr. Stray musta been used to that still, or the Old Man has been nice and is feeding him still. Either way, when the Old Man came to visit he brought Mr. Stray with him by accident. When the truck came to a stop out came Mr. Stray from the bed of the truck, he immediately ducked under the truck and hid from Mom and Old Man.

I was outside at the time and very happy to see my old furriend, but Mom scooped me up and took me in the house. They tried to catch Mr. Stray, but he wasn’t having any of it. Now Mom won’t let me out ’cause she said Mr. Stray looked “mangy” and she don’t wanna take a risk with our health.

So poor Mr. Stray, he’s been accidentally relocated to a new home and he’s all alone too. I tried talking to him for a bit from the living room window, but he still looked lonely out there. Mom plans on calling the animal shelter for a trap so she can have him trapped and taken to the shelter. The shelter is now a no-kill shelter so I hope Mr. Stray can be taken care of and find a home with loving humans. He’s a very handsome mancat, but he’s seen better days. You can’t tell in the pic above, but the front of his neck is swollen, his fur isn’t pretty anymore but kinda clumpy looking, and he’s very thin, like so thin you could use him like those pool floats. You know, the plastic stuff humans use to float on water? He’s that thin and light.

Mom left some food out for him though, so he won’t be hungry tonight. But she doesn’t want him going in the shed or coming in teh house. And of course, so long as Mr. Stray is here Me an Isis aren’t allowed outside. Mom is very paranoid about us picking something up from homeless kittehs.

Mom worries too much.

I’m not really sure why the humans like this holiday mind you, I do know it involves lots of green and that if you don’t have any on you then you gets pinched. Ouchie!

I almost forgot what today was, but luckily, when some neighbors dropped by and one of them wasn’t wearing green, I got reminded what today was. Of course then I was in trouble – the outfit Mommy picked for me today didn’t have any green! So I ran outside to hide.

Mommy came looking for me, and that’s when I realized that I could avoid a pinching by hiding in THE GREEN.

I stayed there for a long time and when someone tried to remove me I gave them what for. No pinching this kitty! Not even the bait of treats or my kitty vitamin (which tastes like treats) could lure me out. Nope Nope.

Eventually Denali finally realized why I was staying in THE GREEN and joined me. The humans kept looking at us like we were weird though.

Eventually we had to come inside though, but luckily, no pinching has occurred. We may remain pinch-free yet!

I know what you’re thinking, ’cause I thought it too when I heard Mommy talking on the pone. But no, Mommy isn’t going to sell us. Actually, the people don’t want to keep the cats they buy either. It’s a modeling agency for pets and they’re in need of feline models!

Mommy gave them a call and now Denali and I have appointments for Friday. I have no idea what’s going to happen or what they’ll do there, but I’m nervous and excited about it!

Denali is grumpy though and not looking forward to it all.

While in town Mommy saw something sad and frightening. There was this white pickup truck weaving in and out of the busy traffic and there was a doggy in the back getting knocked around!

I’ll be honest, I don’t like doggies much at all, but even I know that leaving a doggy in the back of a truck while speeding down busy streets and coming to quick stops is dangerous and cruel to doggies.

Mommy was very upset to see the doggy almost fall out of the truck several times while she was behind it.

I hope the doggy made it home alright. I know humans like to let doggies ride in the back of trucks, but in the city and going real fast is not a treat for the doggy, it’s a murder attempt.

Isis has beds that are close to heaters and she normally lays in one of them. Today though? No, she’s being a heater hog. And she doesn’t move either, she stays there and stays there. Mom doesn’t like it because then Isis gets, um, de-hy-dra-ted. That means she gets really, really thirsty. Mom keeps moving Isis away but Isis is being fussy and slinking back.

I guess Isis is trying to copy Mom and loose weight? Maybe she thinks the heaters will work like those rooms with the steam and be a dry, non-wet fat burner?

And no, Isis isn’t sick either. She’s just fine and being her bossy self too. She’s just being a selfish heater-hog. Hmph!

But that’s not why I’m bringing this old subject back up. I’m bringing this back up because I found something on Mommy’s camera I just had to share with you:

Mommy took a picture of a wet Denali!!

Denali’s coat is really thick so it takes a lot of water to really get her wet for Mommy to work her fur into a proper lather. This means Denali’s baths are always longer then mine.

Denali is probably thinking about those flyers we get in the mail from a local travel agency (that Mommy always throws away) advertising Cancun vacation packages. Well, she’s probably thinking about it again now too because Mommy will be giving her another bath in a few minutes. Denali came in from outside with all kinds of mud, sticks, and leaves stuck to her. She looks more like a doggy then a kitty right now.

Hah! Revenge of the Pretty Kitty!

So from Denali and I, we wanna wish all the kitties, doggies, and other furriends out there a very Merry Christmas!

Birdzilla is back.

I saw him in the canal and just watched, waiting for him to come and snatch me up like the evil bird he is. Mom saw him and had to take pictures! She made sure not to get too close so not to startle him and make him fly away. Silly Mom, you should have scared him off! It started raining so the humans picked up the barbecue stuff and we went in. I was glad because that mean Birdzilla couldn’t get me today.

Mom says this is a Great Blue Heron and that it’s probably migrating to this place called Bosque del Apache to nest for the winter. Although, she admitted that he could decide to stay in the area too. He’s done that before! Last winter he stuck around here all the time and gave me such nasty looks for hunting birdies. Scarry!

By the time I was born Isis had been attending college classes with Grandma a few times and when Mom went to college she tried to attend with her too. But that’s not the way for a kitty to go about getting an edumacation though. The real way to do it is to take a test online and get a high school diploma online like Oreo did!

Oreo is a very smart kitty and didn’t spend her time playing on human treadmills to make funny videos like some kitties do. Instead she studied and got a diploma! She’s so cool! I bet her humans are very proud of her too. Unfortunately she hasn’t had a chance to put it to use yet.

Hang in there Oreo, you’re a smart kitty so I know you’ll do fine!
