That’s why Mom was running around the house gathering up all the trash she could find and making sure it gets put out now. Including the custom cardboard boxes from the place she orders fancy coffee and tea, stacks of old magazines and newspapers she never got a chance to really read, and of course, making sure the trash bins in the kitchen and bathroom are emptied out.

Mom let us go outside for a bit too. I think she just wanted us out of the way so she can take things out easier. Mom dropped a box on the lawn and me and Isis claimed it for us. Because boxes are just that cool.

Isis usually likes to play in boxes with me too, but she just wanted to eat some grass. Mom doesn’t let her out nearly as much as me so she’s outside-deprived. *nods* Poor thing. But then, my big sister is getting old and Mom just doesn’t like her being outside on her own or unsupervised for long anymore. I think it has something to do with the time Isis rolled off the roof. Yeah, my big sister is a little…silly…you could say.

Since Isis didn’t want the box I tooks it and made it into a perfect napping spot just for me! Before I could curl up and sleep though I had to make sure it was secure and that Isis wasn’t gonna pounce me when my guard was down. So I checked it outs first.

After deciding that my box was indeed very safe (ands comfy!) I settled in for a nice nap.

My nap got interrupted though when Mom came and picked up the box to load it in the big trash bin. *sigh* I’m glad she realized I wuz ins it before throwing it though! Mom wasn’t made at all, just scritched my head and called me a cute kitty before lifting me from the box and putting me on the sidewalk. Now Isis and I are back inside and will probably be stuck inside for the rest of today and probably tomorrow too.

Mom doesn’t like sharing the road with other cyclists and joggers, and since Mom don’t have no work out stuffs like treadmill or elliptical machines Mom does a lot of bike rides, jogging, and walks in the mornings and evenings when people aren’t outs and abouts. During the day, or whenever, she does all the funny stuff like push ups, weights, and sit-ups at home.

Clearly no one told Mom that Saturdays are meant for sleeping though. Same for Sundays too really. She got up way too early to go for a bike ride and do her exercises. Then drank a lot of coffee. Barely gave me time to eat with my big sister before she scooped me up and we were out the door. Apparently Mom is helping the Old Man out in his wood shop so I get to stay in the old house today while they’re working.

What a relief! Now I can finally goes back to sleep!

So Denali and I have been hesitant about clicking on any links in emails from anyone we don’t know. Because sometimes, we get stuff that says “Get a free sample of ’some random yummy treats’, just click here” (like that!) but then the link leads elsewhere and has nothing to do with what it said it did.

However, I found an email today that was sent by a human who visited our blog.

Well I looked at the site and it’s called Coupon Cat and it’s gots a bunch of coupons and deals that kitties will want their humans to take advantage of. It looks like it’s kept up to date too, and there are some non-kitty coupons there too so you can treat your humans for being good. There’s a couple that I want Mommy to get too.

So, I thought I’d pass this site on to everyone else. Some of these coupons mentioned we can’t use ’cause we’ve never seen/heard of the products before so they must not be sold around here. Oh, and there’s stuff for doggies too.

Anyway, hope some of our furriends can get some good treats and stuff from here!

Case in point, Denali jumps on shelves regularly and her bushy tail is the one that tends to knock stuff off. She’s even admitted it before!

Here’s what really happened, Denali and I (there, I admitted I went after the treats too) jumped on the bookcase. Denali though isn’t very good at jumping on things without knocking stuff around and crashing into stuffs. I mean really, you can always tell when she’s jumped on the stove for a reason. *nods* In any case, everything was going just fine until Denali jumped on the bookcase and upset it and then everything came tumbling down. I swear, Denali needs to go on a diet with Mommy. Mommy’s on a diet right now and is doing good too! Denali doesn’t need anything drastic like kitty fat burner pills, she just needs to loose a few pounds. Then she’d be lighter on her feet. That and a furcut. Her furs tend to get in the way when we go on adventures.

Denali of course completely disagrees and says I’m too skinny. Hmph!

In any case, Mommy seems to have forgiven us and we’ve been getting lots of treats and lovin’ for being good kitties!

See, someone *cough*Isis*cough* made a mess of the living room by knocking over a bookcase and all the stuffs that was on it. It was a small black metal one and Isis managed to tip it over when she jumped onto it trying to get to the treats she found there.

We were just lucky that there is a nice comfy chair there in fronts of it, otherwise we’d have been in bigger trouble. When the bookcase tilted over, the figurines and snow globes mostly fell on the chair and didn’t break. One statue did fall to the floor, but it’s metal on a wood base and probably did more damage to the floor then the floor did to it.

When Mom came home and found the mess, and the opened bag of treats that Isis got into, she was very upset. No treats for a week, no walks, no outside, and we got baths. We also kept getting removed from rooms with lots of shelves and stuff to knock down and kept separated to “keep us out of mischief”, Mom said.

I didn’t do it this time though and was very upset to be punished alongside Isis. Mom didn’t believe me though, and I will admit to helping myself to the treats when they were already on the floors and opened. But I didn’t make the mess! And they were such yummy treats too. They were healthy kitty treats Mom got from the vet’s office that tasted and smelled sooo good. Better then the nip! And came in a white plastic bag with really big funny human words on it. I’m so glad Mom gave them a try! At first she was gonna pass ‘em up cause the information was on one of those folded papers you finds in the waiting room and she’d picked that up a while ago and forgots about it. She found it again mixed in with those folded papers for things like prenatal vitamin (Mom will never need these!), diabetes (human sickness I hope Mom don’t get), and other medical stuffs I don’t understand.

Mom is bad about picking up things to read and then forgetting to throw them away. Mom almost didn’t get the treats for us ’cause they were very, very expensive. I think that’s why she was so upset with us, they didn’t last us very long at all… That’s okay though, I think those Feline Greenies cat treats tasted justs as good and are cheaper too.

I hopes Mom isn’t upsets anymore though. I spent the week curling up in Mom’s lap whenever I could, I tries to show her how cute I was and completely innocent.

See, that’s my innocent face. It’s marred by brutally mauled whiskers that those mini-humans did to me, but it still works on Mom!

Hehe, Isis has nothing on me. I gots the computer first and got kitty treats this morning. Isis didn’t want to get up from her bed so she never realized what she missed out on.

Eh, I’m catching up to my sistah.

Human babies, they’re just horrible! They’re cruel, vile, and smell horrible! They pull your fur out by the handful, yank and twist your tail ’till it feels like it’s gonna fall off and then, horror of all horrors, they cut your whiskers!

I tried to run the minute the vile creatures said “just a quick trim kitty” and picked up some scissors from Mom’s desk, but I was outnumbered and the oldest little beast was stepping on my tail too! I growled, but they weren’t scared, and eventually I said goodbye to my pride and hollered for Mommy, and Mom came a runnin’ too. She got them off me real quick and then carried me to safety. That’s the only reason I didn’t loose any other fur or the rest of my whiskers. Now I look lopsided and you can see spots where those, those monsters pulled clumps of fur out of my coat too.

I hate human babies. grrrrrr

One of Mom’s friends came by earlier and brought her… devil spawn. Isis was smart and hissed at them right away and ran. They called her a “demon cat” and refused to go near her. I tried to be nice to make up for my older sister’s behavior, but being nice to those things wasn’t worth it. As soon as they carried me out of my Mom’s sight they began the torture. Evil things! Hiss!

Mommy, please, don’t let them come back ever again!!

Mom noticed I was up to no goods earlier ’cause I kinda left a little evidence behind.

See, I still have yet to master teh art of “jumping on teh stove” in order to finds yummy treats and crumbs.

Well, I jump up just fine, I just kinda always leave a very obvious hint behind.

I burned the furs on the top of my tail and the tip. You can see in the photos above how it’s all browned and curled now. I didn’t even notice I had done that! So when I demanded hugs from Mom I had no idea I was abouts to give myself away. See, sometimes there are yummy crumbs and drippings on the stove, I just can’t resist checking it out! But I always manage to burn my whiskers or furs. I thought I did so good too, ’cause my whiskers are long and pretty still, but when Mom was holding and petting me she just froze then smiled a creepy smile like that “Bob” human on those t.v. commercials for enzyte (it’s for male humans) and said “Denali, what happened to your tail, hmm?” in that very sweet voice of hers that is very, very scary and says “you are soooo dead meat” without saying it. That’s when I noticed my furs was burned.

My beautiful tail! Why can I not jump on the stove without burning my furs?

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for me?

I know what you’re thinking, ’cause I thought it too when I heard Mommy talking on the pone. But no, Mommy isn’t going to sell us. Actually, the people don’t want to keep the cats they buy either. It’s a modeling agency for pets and they’re in need of feline models!

Mommy gave them a call and now Denali and I have appointments for Friday. I have no idea what’s going to happen or what they’ll do there, but I’m nervous and excited about it!

Denali is grumpy though and not looking forward to it all.

While in town Mommy saw something sad and frightening. There was this white pickup truck weaving in and out of the busy traffic and there was a doggy in the back getting knocked around!

I’ll be honest, I don’t like doggies much at all, but even I know that leaving a doggy in the back of a truck while speeding down busy streets and coming to quick stops is dangerous and cruel to doggies.

Mommy was very upset to see the doggy almost fall out of the truck several times while she was behind it.

I hope the doggy made it home alright. I know humans like to let doggies ride in the back of trucks, but in the city and going real fast is not a treat for the doggy, it’s a murder attempt.

Yeah, Mom picked up the fixed laptop last night and has been busy working on it to restore settings, re-install the programs we miss, and loading up the recovered files.

It’s so nice to have the computer back.

Mom agrees of course, she was going into internets-withdraw. She’ll never admit it though.

Isis has beds that are close to heaters and she normally lays in one of them. Today though? No, she’s being a heater hog. And she doesn’t move either, she stays there and stays there. Mom doesn’t like it because then Isis gets, um, de-hy-dra-ted. That means she gets really, really thirsty. Mom keeps moving Isis away but Isis is being fussy and slinking back.

I guess Isis is trying to copy Mom and loose weight? Maybe she thinks the heaters will work like those rooms with the steam and be a dry, non-wet fat burner?

And no, Isis isn’t sick either. She’s just fine and being her bossy self too. She’s just being a selfish heater-hog. Hmph!
