Poor Mom, Poor Grandma

Denali

Mom is a bit worried and stressed right now. Pyro, that’s the name of Mom’s car, blew a tire the other weekend, and since all her tires were bad (sans the one she replaced a few months back) she splurged a bit and got two new tires instead of one and planned to get another at the end of the month. Mom’s finances were all on track and everything, so she could afford it.

Everything’s good, right?

WRONG!

Grandma’s clients are behind on payment so she barely had enough for some of her bigger bills. The cellphone bill Mom and Grandma split because they’re on a family plan to help save money between the two. Grandma went over the minutes again (which means she talks too much  ) and she couldn’t pay her half plus the overage stuff right now, so Mom covered all of it. BAM! There goes all the extra money Mom just had.

So, Mom is making sure to donate to the vampires (they take her blood, she says plasma, whatever and they give her money) as often as she’s allowed to help build up a cushion because this payday she won’t get as much. She was sick remembers, plus there was a holiday so banks were closed too. I don’t think she’s bad off enough to get one of those payday advance loans you hears about all the time on TV and the radio, but if she does, I’m willing to let her sell my baby brother. Ichigo wouldn’t mind helping out either. He’ll volunTOLD to do it.

TV is So Boring

Denali

It was great that Mom stayed home today…even though it was because she wasn’t feeling so good – but it was really kinda dull too. Mom was sick and lay in front of the tv for most of the day, not really watching it, just having it for the noise. She tried to use it to put her to sleep. Mom has been having trouble sleeping the night through this past week and now that she got sick it was even worse for her. She was all sicky and sneezey but couldn’t really sleep.

Sometimes she’d doze off, but that’s it. So Ichigo and I had to behave and try not to disturb her when she managed to nap for a bit. The tv got left on and it was on a boring channel that seemed to have nothing but infomercials, shopping shows, and commercials. The shopping shows were all boring. The infomercials were for boring or stupid stuff. And the commercials – nothing but drugs for this and that sickness, applying for title loans Utah and California (which is not where we live!), new cars, and some jewlery. I was ever so glad when Mom turned the tv off and got up to make another kettle of water for tea!

I wonder if Mom will stay home tomorrow too? Despite the droning and boring tv, it was nice having her here all day. :)

Someone Lost Her Voice

Denali

Well, Mom just lost her voice. The Cowboys, our favorite human football team, was playing today. They played the New York Jets and – well, ugh. They had the game in the bag, then just threw it away at the end. Mom was yelling so much during the game she actually started losing her voice for a bit.

But that’s what makes the game so fun! Watching Mom get worked up over the game is half the excitement. Yuppers. Even folks who hate football and would say something insulting like “watching infomercials that give diet pill reviews is more interesting than football” would enjoy watching when the Cowboys are playing if Mom was around. Poor Ichigo though, he didn’t know what to think really about Mom. She don’t get that worked up with the other games after all.

Mom is still very much of the opinion that the ‘Boys would do so much better if they’d get rid of Romo. And tonight’s game did little to change her mind on that.

Still, until the end there, it was a good game and the food we had for dinner was excellent too! I loves football season. :D

Ooh, That Smarts

Denali

Eep, looks like we got the wrong ads in our mailboxes here lately. We’ve been getting car and rv insurance quote type things when, in reality, Mom needs stuff for discounts for auto repairs. Yup, the car is acting up again. And Mom just shelled out a lot of money for new tires too.

And she’s still got all these other bills and planned expenses she’s gotta take care of too. :( Poor Mom! Looks like she’s gonna be going to that place regularly for a while. That Place stabs Mom with a needle  and takes stuff outta her but pays her for it. She calls it plasma, but I’ve seen the needle mark on her arm and smelt the blood drawn so I think she’s confused on what they’re doing to her.

Humans are so weird. Why do they pay each other for that anyway? Are they really that bad of hunters?
