So I’ve been acting a little…bratty in the hopes she gets the hint that I need more time to play and frolic outside.

I may have even done a few naughty things thinking she’d say “I’ve had enough” and put me outside to get some time to herself. It didn’t work.

So I’ve been trying to tell Mom that not allowing me my adventures means I have nothing to blog about. Guilt trip right?

Well, then we gots hit by a small thunderstorm and because our electric company sucks the electricity went out. There was lots of thunder, which is always scary to me, but then the electricity flashed on and off really fast for like ten minutes straight then popped off. Mom had the laptop plugged in at the time and the next day she couldn’t dial onto the ‘net no more even though the phone lines were working.

Mom says that there was an electrical surge and it blew the laptop’s modem. Now, if it were a desktop she could replace it cheaper and easier….but not on a laptop. So Mom had to wait till payday, transfer the money to her checking account, and then go and buy an “USB external modem” so we could connect to the internet at home again.

Now Mom and I can get the internet at home again. She was lucky though, she could drive into town and use one of those free internet places humans call “hot spots” to get online. Me? This poor kitty was without internet for furrever!!! So cruel!

Mom had to shell out over $50 for the thing though. And it was pouring rain today, but we couldn’t wait any longer – over a week was much, much too much for us. So off Mom went. The rain cleared up though while Mom was in town and her car got a lot of papers on it’s windshield by the time she came out. Yup, looks like one of those fliers and brochures printing agencies in town had a lot of business lately. Lots of brightly colored papers advertising deals and there were coupons! Including one for Wienerschnitzel. So Mom stopped there on the way back and picked up some hot dogs and their yummy chili fries.

So now I gots to eat some of her hot dog and I got to go online again. Things are looking up.

Now if only I can convince her to lets me outside more once again. More on that laters though!

Mom got her laptop fixed and back home within a day, but then she’s been fooling around “recovering” things. I’m not sure what it means exactly, but Isis thinks it means Mom lost some bits and pieces and has to get them back.

Mom’s been missing some bits and pieces for a while now though so I don’t understand what that has to do with the computer.

The good news though is that the lappytop is OHKAY and not broke anymore. This is really good because, whatever online or in-store laptop deals are going on right now, Mom couldn’t afford a new one. For sure.

Yeah, see, that’s a big no-no. No jumping on the computer and no running across the keyboard. Isis did it and she did it right in front of mom. Then to make matters worse, mom got onto Isis for doing bad and Isis talked back! Mom said “Isis, get out of that window right now. You’re bad.” in her scary voice and Isis crouched down in the window and hissed at mom! I couldn’t believe it! Mom was upset with that, of course, so Isis got picked up by the scruff of her neck, she got a light smack on her nose and mom gave her a stern talking to.

The last I saw of Isis she was running to mommy’s mom’s room. She hasn’t come out since. I dunno what got into her, but it was funny!
