Turns out Mom forgot to renew our domain for us.

So when a human named Angel brought it to Mom’s attention (finally!) Mom got it renewed. But then it took forever to come back up.

How could Mom forgets such an important thing? I dunno. Isis thinks Mom was busy looking for a job (any kind of job) and was too being with her entry level job search. I thinks that’s bull. I thinks she just doesn’t love us that much anymore.

It didn’t happen.

She started changing into the clothes she wears when home and tossed her other clothes on the bed, on top of me no less, and where I was trying to sleep. Eventually she picked them up and then she spotted me. She picked me, gave me a hug and asked me if I missed her. I was a nice kitty (of course) and said that yes, I did miss her. Even though I really wanted to say no because I was having a nice sleep. She then put me down, on the floor, and proceeded to curl up under the blankets on the spot I had been. So rude!

So instead of getting to sleep in my nice cozy spot like I was, I got regulated to the bottom of the bed and had to make do with what covers were left. And did I mention that Mommy put me outside today, all day, and I didn’t even get to see her again before she left? Yes, she abandoned me today! Mean Mommy. Makes me almost wanna investigate those package deals for Florida vacations (or somewhere equally far) to send Mommy so that I can sleep in peace. But I would miss her if she left for long and that far away. What’s a kitty to do?

Ugh, unfortunately I can’t take full credit for that awesome song. Teh original is about a doggie and is called “That Doggie in the Window“.

For the past week, one of the Old Man’s friends has been coming by every single day and mooching off of teh humans. Mom makes a lunch that he invites himself to and then he gets the Old Man to take him places. Today he had to go food shopping. Yesterday it was stuff for his horses. Yeah, he made the Old Man take him to get horse supplies. And it wasn’t just a little bit of stuff neither. It was a lot of stuff, that’s why he wanted the Old Man to take him. ‘Cause he has a big truck.

I still don’t know why the Old Man is doing all this stuff for teh Moocher though. It confuses me. He has a car and sometimes someone brings him here. So why?

Today he saw Isis sitting in the window and said she looked pretty. Isis loved that. She started purring loud enough to be heard outside. So not fair. When he saw me he tried to chase me off the property. Said I looked like a stray! Isis just laughed.

She laughed until he asked teh Old Man if he was willing to get rid of her. He wanted to know if Isis was for sale! I think the Old Man was considering it too, ’cause sometimes Isis is really snooty with him, but Mom came out. He asked Mom if she wanted to get rid of Isis.

Her reaction was scary. The sky got all dark and Mom’s voice was all sinister and evil sounding. And her eyes. *shivers* Mom’s scary. I’ll never get her mad again.

He should have asked me. I’d have let him take Isis. More food for me!

I might have missed her a little wittle bit, maybe. Don’t tell Isis that though. She’s spooked thinking people want to sell her!

Green machines stealing my fluffy cotton!

I ran back to the house and started batting at the window to get mommy’s attention and eventually I got her to come outside and follows me to the back so she could stop them. Do you know what she said?! She just pat me on the head and said “They’re just picking the cotton now so they can rest on Thanksgiving, Denali. It’s nothing to worry about.”

I know they’re picking the cotton, I don’t want them to. So it is something to worry about. They’re stealing my fluffy white playground and mommy won’t do anything about it.

I tried to run out to stop thems myself, but mommy wouldn’t let me and took me inside. She had to get ready for work and didn’t have time to keep an eye on me she said, but that doesn’t make much sense since after she left she came right back!

Mommy explained that farmers plant those fields of cotton so that they grows it and pick it to use to make clothes, bedding, and toys, for humans and kittehs. She even showed me my favorite bunny and explained it was made out of cotton.

So I guess some good came from this, but I wish they would have torn up another cotton field and not mine.
