This year, since mommy’s car is still broken grandma took us driving. Her truck makes a lot of noise and she’s kind of a scary driver too. I got so used to mommy being the one driving that I forgot how grandma drives. But that made it an adventure all of it’s own!

This house really impressed me. It’s one of those small human homes called trailers, so there isn’t much they can do with it. At least that’s been my experiance over the years, none of the trailers I’ve seen before every looked that cool compared to the houses that go all out. But this one came out really nice.

This was one of my favorite displays last year and I’m glad they put it up again. My mommy and I really get a kick out of the Santa Clause on a motorcycle.

I really liked the star that this house made. All of the other houses went all out with pre-bought displays that made decorating easy. You can’t see it in the picture too well, but these guys went through a lot of trouble to make that star. We could see some of the cleverly disguised wire that gave the star its shape and anchored it in place. In my opinion, this house had more Christmas Spirit then its neighbors who just bought sets, plugged them in, and said “we’re done!”.

Out of all the displays we saw tonight, I think I liked this one the best. There was just a lot of stuff to see and take in. There was another set that I really liked, but the people behind grandma wouldn’t let her pause long enough for us to get a picture of it. Meanies.

Mommy and Grandma promised to take me light seeing again soon, this time in Las Cruces and El Paso, where there are bigger houses. That means bigger and grander displays! It would be nice if Denali would go with us, but she really doesn’t see what the “big deal”. Two years in a row she went with us and both times she just curled up in the back seat and went to sleep while we looked at the lights. I guess this is a holiday tradition that I just won’t ever be able to share with her.
