Yeahs, I changed my mind. Brian was right, I don’t wanna go outside. And Mom, you’re not funny when you hold the door open and asks me nicely “Denali, do you wanna go outside?” when it’s raining outside.

Mom has a very twisted sense of humor.

She offered to lets me outside earlier for a few hours while it was raining. Grrr. It’s actually been raining off and on these past couple of days. And of course, even when it’s not raining, it’s still wet out there. I hate getting my furrs wet and muddy.

It’s started raining some more right now. It was pretty much raining all night long, but it’s really coming down now.

Mom was up most of the night drinking coffee, eating popcorn, and typing away on the computer. So I got to watch a lot of late night t.v. (which had nothing on except stupid commercials about weight loss products) until Mom deciding to take a break and let me on the computer again.

It’s nice sitting up with Mom and listening to the rain outside though. And Mom is always in a better mood when it rains. She loves rain, loves to drink coffee or hot chocolate, eat popcorn, and curl up with a book when it rains. She only got to do two of those things today. I hopes she can get a chance to relax tomorrow. Stressed out Mom is not fun Mom. She becomes Grouchy Mom or Snippy Mom or Mom With Twisted Sense of Humor. All of which can be scary.

All in all, right now I am very happy to be an indoors kitty. No outside for me please!

That’s why Mom was running around the house gathering up all the trash she could find and making sure it gets put out now. Including the custom cardboard boxes from the place she orders fancy coffee and tea, stacks of old magazines and newspapers she never got a chance to really read, and of course, making sure the trash bins in the kitchen and bathroom are emptied out.

Mom let us go outside for a bit too. I think she just wanted us out of the way so she can take things out easier. Mom dropped a box on the lawn and me and Isis claimed it for us. Because boxes are just that cool.

Isis usually likes to play in boxes with me too, but she just wanted to eat some grass. Mom doesn’t let her out nearly as much as me so she’s outside-deprived. *nods* Poor thing. But then, my big sister is getting old and Mom just doesn’t like her being outside on her own or unsupervised for long anymore. I think it has something to do with the time Isis rolled off the roof. Yeah, my big sister is a little…silly…you could say.

Since Isis didn’t want the box I tooks it and made it into a perfect napping spot just for me! Before I could curl up and sleep though I had to make sure it was secure and that Isis wasn’t gonna pounce me when my guard was down. So I checked it outs first.

After deciding that my box was indeed very safe (ands comfy!) I settled in for a nice nap.

My nap got interrupted though when Mom came and picked up the box to load it in the big trash bin. *sigh* I’m glad she realized I wuz ins it before throwing it though! Mom wasn’t made at all, just scritched my head and called me a cute kitty before lifting me from the box and putting me on the sidewalk. Now Isis and I are back inside and will probably be stuck inside for the rest of today and probably tomorrow too.

Other then that, today was a very dull, boring, bad day. It’s been really windy here these past few days so going out wasn’t much fun, but at least I could go out. Not today though. Today it rained. And it wasn’t just a little bit of rain, or a lot a bit of rain that came and went, no it rained all day long. In fact, it’s still raining outside. Mom says it’s not raining but “misting”. I don’t cares what you call it, water is falling from the sky and I can’t go outside. So not fair!

I hate the rain. It’s wet, makes your fur icky, makes mud that gets everywhere and is a pain to clean from your coat. Not to mention, if you get more then a little bit on your paws teh humans wanna gives you a bathe right away. I don’t want anymore bathes so I didn’t even try to get outside today.

I just sat, in the window, all day and watched the rain fall down. Waiting for it to stop. It didn’t stop. When it wasn’t raining it was doing what humans call “sprinkling” and then it’d rain some more before it started “misting”.

Ah, I can hear the drops hitting against the windows harder. That means it’s no longer misting now but raining again.

I hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow too. I probably won’t get to go outside tomorrow either ’cause it’ll be muddy. grrr

Mom went outside to take pictures of the blue truck for some odd reason when she saw me laying on the bumper. She was very upset to see me there because there’s nothing but mud around the truck. The mud has green stuff too because the puddles sat there for a long time since we got a lot of rain. It’s kinda gross looking.

Mom of course had to give me a lecture about getting dirty. Mom forgets I am a very good jumper. It wasn’t difficult at all to jump from the grass to the truck. I never even touched the muddy gravel path! But she just keeps on lecturing me. Blah Blah Blah.

I got confused when Mom sniffed the air and then walked closer to me and took another sniff. Then I remembered I’d been climbing around underneath the blue truck earlier and that I had kinda sorta but not really swiped some nice smelling scraps from the trash can…oops.

Uh oh, I think she’s onto me. Quick! Don’t look her in the eye, Moms have the ability to know when you’re guilty by meeting their eyes!

I don’t think she’s buying it this time….

Wait, did she just say the b-word? Noooooo! Please, Mommy, anything but that! You can stick me on a diet, force feed me diet pills and vitamins. You can even keep me in the house for a month. But please, for the love of all that is good, do not give me a BATH!!
